About

Hello, I'm Tricia.

[TRICIA TO COMPLETE] One or two sentences on who you are and what you do. Example of the tone to match: “I'm a licensed massage therapist in Richmond, and I spend my days doing slow, detailed work with people who are tired of being rushed.”

[TRICIA TO COMPLETE] How you came to this work, in your own words. Example of the tone to match: “I started noticing that the people who came to me were rarely just sore. Something in how they held themselves was telling a longer story.”

[TRICIA TO COMPLETE] What a session with you is like, and what you pay attention to. Example of the tone to match: “I listen with my hands first. Then I ask questions, and I let what I feel and what you tell me decide where we go.”

[TRICIA TO COMPLETE] Something personal and true that helps a new client feel at ease: where you grew up, what you do outside work, what you value in a room.

Training and credentials

Background, stated plainly.

Tricia Powell, LMT — Licensed Massage Therapist, Richmond, Virginia.

What guides the work

Three commitments.

Touch that asks first

Every session is built on consent that continues throughout. You choose what is touched, how much pressure is used, and when to pause or stop. Nothing needs to be explained, justified, or endured.

The whole system, not just the sore spot

Fascia connects everything, so where something hurts is not always where it begins. Sessions consider the connective tissue, the nervous system, and the organs together rather than one muscle at a time.

Honest about what this is

Bodywork supports how you feel and move. It does not diagnose, treat disease, or replace your doctor. Tricia will say so when something is outside her scope, and she would rather refer you than guess.
